Family funOur agency provides child welfare services in Brantford, Brant, New Credit, Haldimand and Norfolk. All children, youth and families are valued.

Our Vision

A caring and safe community which values children, youth and families.

Our Mission

The well-being and safety of children and youth is our primary focus. Together with our community, we will work with, support and advocate for children, youth and families to reach their full potential.

Our Values

The Voices of Children and Youth
Putting the needs and voice of each child and youth at the centre of all planning by including them in decisions that affect them.

Family Dignity and Worth
Recognizing and building on the strengths of families and respecting their wisdom to support the safety and well-being of their children.

Community Partnerships
Engaging with the community and other organizations, bringing together their strengths and ours to achieve the best possible outcomes for families and children.

Accountability
Answering to the children, youth and families we serve, to the community and to governments, for our decisions, actions and outcomes.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Promoting inclusion and equity in all that we do by eliminating systemic racism and discrimination, and addressing over-representation of marginalized and racialized populations in child welfare.

Truth and Reconciliation
Acknowledging our role in the intergenerational traumas caused by the colonial practices of the child welfare system. Moving forward in the spirit of Truth and Reconciliation, we are committed to honesty, transparency and consultation with Indigenous communities while fostering an environment of reconciliation.
